Getting Started

I've been meaning to create a site for months now and finally decided to do it now that I have internet at home (thanks to the neighbor's wireless network, thanks neighbors). Now this site is supposed to be a test for a new internet news service, focusing on crazy things in society and, of course, the internet. If I find maintaining this test site, or blog, to my liking I hope to expand to new mediums of bringing you information (pod-casts or simply video downloads). I hope to avoid falling into the trap of just rambling on about my day like many blogs do but if I begin to slip and talk about things that affect only me and no one cares about please tell me, no, yell at me, slap me, or, better yet, theaten not to come to my site anymore.

Now, I couldn't think of a name for my blog so I tried to think of the goal of this site and would then choose an appropriate name that fits that goal. I figured the goal of this site should be to bring it's users a world of news, now I have a life to live and don't have time to write and article on everything I wish to inform you of so I decided on creating a hub, or hive, to bring you to other sites that hold this information. This way my only responsiblity is to find the sites and give you a summary of it's contents. These summarys and links will be archived and available for all users to access, creating a brain that users can rely on for all their wacky and serious news alike.

I plan to, in the future, crate a sister site called World Hive Mind which will focus on allowing for interaction between users of the site as well as interaction with myself, allowing you to tell me, in real time, what you think of the site(s).

Well, I'm off to start collecting information-watch for my first post, I'll be sure to post it by tomarrow afternoon.
